A District 3 recap October 29, 2013
JAYDEN SWENSEN and Tremayne Ross provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Omaha South. The connection went for 74 yards, the longest such play in A District 3 this season.
Papillion-LaVista South lost to Omaha Westside 42-27 last week, the largest margin of any game. Drew Klein was a bright spot for the Titans, as he ran for 255 yards in the loss.
Shawn Rouse made the biggest impact on defense this week as Benson defeated the Packers. The 6-foot-3 junior racked up 2 sacks.
Ross had an awesome week catching the football as the Bunnies defeated Omaha South. He caught 10 passes for 217 yards.
Orlando Blair was a force in the backfield as Kevin O'Donnell's team fell to Benson.
SWENSEN threw for 495 yards and 5 touchdowns. He was 21-31 with 1 interception.
Blair was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 32 carries, he ran for 284 yards as the Packers beat the Packers. Tajai Graves also contributed to the rushing game with 13 yards on the ground.
The Bunnies' SWENSEN and TYREE PETER have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-11 quarterback SWENSEN has thrown for 1,966 yards this season, while PETER has 43 catches for 747 yards. Klein from Papillion-LaVista South leads the league in rushing with 2,010 yards.
The Warriors led A District 3 in scoring this week after putting up 42 points on Walt Olsen's team.
