Softball Recap: Prattville Christian Academy Beats Stanhope Elmore for Their Third Straight Win

Prattville Christian Academy entered their tilt with Stanhope Elmore on Tuesday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Stanhope Elmore Mustangs with a sharp 12-5 victory. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won five games by six runs or more so far this season.

Prattville Christian Academy got a great performance from Laura Nesmith as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Nesmith has posted since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Saniyah Weaver was a standout: she scored two runs while going 2-for-5. Chasiti Lindsey was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Prattville Christian Academy pushed their record up to 9-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Stanhope Elmore, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Looking ahead, Prattville Christian Academy will head out on the road to square off against Ragland at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Stanhope Elmore, they will host Brewbaker Tech at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
