Preview: Jenkins Warriors vs. Bradwell Institute Tigers
Jenkins has been on the road for two straight, but on Saturday they'll finally head home. They will take on The Bradwell Institute Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Jenkins fell victim to Coffee's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They had to suffer through a rough 34-0 loss at the hands of the Trojans. While losing is never fun, Jenkins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 169th, while Coffee is ranked 21st).
Meanwhile, Bradwell Institute sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 28-25 win over Statesboro on Friday. The win was just what Bradwell Institute needed coming off of a 52-20 loss in their prior game.
Christopher Garrett was his usual excellent self, rushing for 45 yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for 210 yards and two touchdowns on only 19 passes. Wade Cobb, and his 80 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Bradwell Institute's win.
Jenkins has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Bradwell Institute, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.
Jenkins beat Bradwell Institute 24-14 when the teams last played back in October of 2022. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Bradwell Institute's Treshaun Peggis, who rushed for 180 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 11.3 yards per carry.
