Softball Recap: Mathews Takes a Loss

Mathews was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 7-3 to the Lancaster Red Devils. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Red Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-4 on Friday.

Mathews' defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Lancaster, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mathews will host Northumberland at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Indians will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last. As for Lancaster, they will challenge Nandua at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
