South Side scored the most runs they've had this season on Saturday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 14-11 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Star City Bulldogs. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (ten), the Hornet still had to take the loss.

Justus Anderson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Jacob Mahan, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

South Side now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Star City, with the victory, they broke their seven-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Side will take on Baptist Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. South Side's pitchers better be ready for this one: Baptist Prep has averaged an impressive 11.8 runs per game this season. As for Star City, they will face off against Warren at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
