Western's Losing Streak Is No More Thanks to Kawikakekona Ogawa
Thanks in part to Kawikakekona Ogawa, Western said goodbye to their 16-game losing streak dating back to last season. Ogawa rushed for 192 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.1 yards per carry, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long.
Western's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-6. Ogawa and Western will challenge Cheyenne at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Daniel Posts Huge Game in 42-7 Victory
Somerset Academy Losee picked up their eighth consecutive win on Thursday thanks in part to Kieran Daniel. Daniel was dynamite, rushing for 140 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries.
If the past is any indication, Daniel could be in store for another big game when he takes on Mojave on Friday. Daniel rushed for 137 yards and a touchdown the last time he and the Rattlers duked it out back in November of 2023.

Romeo-Lyric Lujan Turns in Another Game with at Least 101 Rushing Yards
Romeo-Lyric Lujan helped snap Western's 16-game losing streak dating back to last season. Lujan's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 101 rushing yards dating back to last season. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 71-yard run.

Anthony Manuel and Co. Win Eighth in a Row
Anthony Manuel was instrumental in extending Somerset Academy Losee's winning streak to eight on Thursday. Manuel was unstoppable, rushing for 52 yards and a touchdown on only five carries. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack and making two total tackles.
For the season, Manuel has run in 9 touchdowns while averaging 44.1 rushing yards per game.

Mojave picked up their seventh consecutive win on Thursday thanks in part to Albert AJ Tuitele. Tuitele wasn't messing around, making 13 total tackles (2.0 for loss). The matchup was his eighth straight with six or more total tackles.
Mojave pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Tuitele and Mojave will square off against Cimarron-Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
