Football Recap: Oliver Ames Comes Up Short

If Oliver Ames was feeling good fresh off their 42-8 takedown of Cardinal Spellman last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers had to suffer through a 35-6 loss at the hands of the North Attleborough Rocketeers. The defeat continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Rocketeers: they've now lost five in a row.

Oliver Ames' loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for North Attleborough, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After each having a week off, Oliver Ames and Foxborough will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on October 10. As for North Attleborough, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Canton at 7:00 p.m. on October 10. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Rocketeers 12, the Bulldogs 8.2) so any points scored will be well earned.
