Volleyball Recap: Springfield Catholic Comes Up Short

Springfield Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 22nd straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Jefferson City Jays. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Fighting Irish of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2023.

The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-11.

Springfield Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 0-21. As for Jefferson City, they pushed their record up to 16-10-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Springfield Catholic has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Greenwood on the 11th. As for Jefferson City, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against St. Francis Borgia on the 11th.
