Softball Recap: Brookfield Central Lancers vs. Germantown Warhawks

Brookfield Central extended their losing streak to four on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 11-6 in the process. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Germantown Warhawks. The Lancers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Warhawks earlier this season, when they won 4-2.

Lexi Eichhorn put in work while hitting and pitching. She struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off eight hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.
