Lawrence County had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They walked away with a 57-49 win over Central Magnet. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 86th, while Central Magnet are ranked 205th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lawrence County's victory bumped their record up to 14-9. As for Central Magnet, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-18 record this season.
