Basketball Recap: Sweetwater Skates Past Greenback with Ease

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Tellico Plains, Sweetwater was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past the Greenback Cherokees, posting a 54-16 victory. The match marked the Wildcats' most dominant win of the season.

Sweetwater's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kylie Baylog, who posted nine points in addition to five assists and four steals. Lilly Woodruff was another key player, putting up nine points and three steals.

Sweetwater smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in five consecutive games.

Sweetwater's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-9. As for Greenback, their loss was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-14.

Sweetwater wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, an 84-34 defeat against McMinn Central on the 23rd. As for Greenback, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Harriman at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
