Basketball Game Preview: Wharton Tigers vs. Sinton Pirates

The Wharton Tigers will challenge the Sinton Pirates at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a six-game winning streak alive.

It was another big night for Jacoryan Dickerson, who went 9-for-12 en route to 18 points along with eight boards and four blocks. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 15 points per game. Another player making a difference was Jameir Hearne-Robinson, who went 5-for-7 on his way to 10 points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals.

Wharton smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in seven consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Sinton was fully in charge last Friday, breezing past Calhoun 59-28.

Sinton pushed their record up to 10-17 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.7 points over those games. As for Wharton, their win bumped their record up to 24-11.
