Kingston and Hetnik score key goals.

In a game between finalists in last season's MIAA Super 8 tournament, Cody Kingston and defenseman Marc Hetnik scored third-period goals to lead Catholic Memorial (West Roxbury) to a 4-2 win against defending champion Hingham at Boston University's Walter Brown Arena.

Also playing a key role for Catholic Memorial (5-3) in the third was senior forward Chris Stathopoulous, who forced a turnover that led to one of his team's goals and then screened Hingham goalie Derek McInnis on Hetnik's blast from the point.

"In the second and third period we just get better and better and better," CM coach Bill Hanson told the Boston Herald. "We were handling the puck better, made real good, athletic plays, and we were opportunistic."

Hingham, which edged Catholic Memorial 1-0 in last season's final at Boston Garden, lost for the first time in 2010-11 (4-1-3). Tim Driscoll had a goal and an assist for the Harbormen.
