Maize hadn't done well against Seaman recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Eagles walked away with a 2-0 win over the Vikings. The Eagles were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Vikings, so the Eagles were just returning the favor.

Maize never let Seaman on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-14.

The victory made it two in a row for Maize and bumps their season record up to 15-17. As for Seaman, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-24 record this season.

Maize will head out to square off against Lawrence at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Seaman, they are on the road again on Saturday to play Washburn Rural at 1:00 p.m.
