Basketball Game Recap: Camanche Indians vs. Maquoketa Cardinals

Camanche lost against Maquoketa last Thursday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Camanche Indians might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 59-33 to the Maquoketa Cardinals, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 135th, while the Cardinals are ranked 22nd).

This is the second loss in a row for Camanche and nudges their season record down to 12-9. As for Maquoketa, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Camanche will head out to square off against Monticello at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Maquoketa, they will head out on the road to face off against Iowa City on Monday. One thing working in Iowa City's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six games.
