The Lake Mary Prep Griffins suffered their biggest loss since December 12, 2023 on Saturday. They were dealt a 67-32 defeat at the hands of Eagle's View. Lake Mary Prep found out winning isn't easy when you don't work as a unit and rack up eight fewer assists than your opponent.
Lake Mary Prep's loss came despite strong showings from Evan Alles and Jayden Rodriguez. Alles scored nine points along with two steals, while Rodriguez scored five points.
Eagle's View's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jayden Williams, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenneth Berry, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Lake Mary Prep's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Eagle's View, the victory (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 15-4.
Lake Mary Prep will be playing in front of their home fans against Horizon at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Horizon is ranked 499th, while Lake Mary Prep is ranked 517th). As for Eagle's View, Eagle's View and Bishop Snyder will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
