Preview: Natoma Tigers vs. Lincoln Leopards

Natoma is 2-8 against Lincoln since January of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Natoma Tigers will look to defend their home court against the Lincoln Leopards at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Natoma suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Monday. They were outmatched by Sylvan-Lucas on the road and fell 70-11. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Natoma has scored all season.

Despite their loss, Natoma saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Caylie Lyle, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and three steals, was perhaps the best of all. Lillian Carter was another key contributor, scoring three points along with nine rebounds.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Natoma struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Lincoln's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a 41-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of Rock Hills.

Natoma dropped their record down to 3-6 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 15.0 points per game. As for Lincoln, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Natoma suffered a grim 48-24 defeat to Lincoln when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Will Natoma have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more basketball content.
