Preview: Cocoa Beach Minutemen vs. Pineapple Cove Classical Academy Patriots
The Cocoa Beach Minutemen will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against the Pineapple Cove Classical Academy Patriots at 5:30 p.m. on January 24th.
Last Saturday, Cocoa Beach lost to Satellite on the road by a decisive 53-35 margin.
Baylea Holland put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored 15 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lexie Overdorf, who scored seven points.
Pineapple Cove Classical Academy has not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They welcomed the New Year with a 23-18 win over Master's Academy.
Cocoa Beach's loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 9-10. As for Pineapple Cove Classical Academy, their win bumped their record up to 2-14.
Cocoa Beach beat Pineapple Cove Classical Academy 30-18 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Will Cocoa Beach repeat their success, or does Pineapple Cove Classical Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
