Soccer Game Preview: Centaurus vs. Mead + How To Watch

The Centaurus Warriors will square off against the Mead Mavericks at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Centaurus' win against Frederick wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Warriors sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Golden Eagles on Tuesday.

Camille Messenbaugh and Sophie Neale scored both of Centaurus' goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

Meanwhile, Mead won against Skyline on Thursday with three goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Tuesday. The Mavericks came out on top against Holy Family by a score of 3-1. The win was all the more spectacular given Mead's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 94th, while Holy Family are ranked 33rd).

Centaurus now has a winning record of 4-3-1. As for Mead, the victory got them back to even at 3-3-1.

Centaurus suffered a grim 8-1 defeat to Mead in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Warriors were down 4-1.
