Softball Recap: Caston Comets vs. Pioneer Panthers

Caston extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 5-16 in the process. They fell 5-2 to the Pioneer Panthers. The Comets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Hadlie Coffing spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on four hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
