Volleyball Recap: Malden Comes Up Short

Malden was the 3-2 winner over Revere when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Golden Tornados fell 3-1 to the Patriots on Monday. The Golden Tornados have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The 3-1 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 22-25, 26-24, 25-22, 25-22.

Malden's defeat dropped their record down to 13-3. As for Revere, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Malden will take on rival Medford at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Revere is set to challenge their familiar foe Everett at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
