Softball Recap: Poteet Victorious

On Saturday, the Poteet Aggies narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Varsity Opponent 6-5. That's two games straight that the Aggies have won by just one run.

The team relied heavily on Gabriella Ramos, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Leona Curbey, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in both of her plate appearances.

Poteet was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .385 or higher in 12 consecutive contests.

Poteet has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-10 record this season.

Poteet has already played their next matchup, a 10-0 loss against Holy Cross on the 1st. As for Varsity Opponent, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-4 defeat against Germantown on the 1st.
