Basketball Recap: Desert Christian Piles Up the Points Against San Miguel

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Tombstone, Desert Christian was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They breezed by the San Miguel Vipers to the tune of 48-16. The match marked the Eagles' most dominant win of the season.

Desert Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Priscilla Genteman led the charge by putting up nine points in addition to six boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Reece Welch, who posted six points and five steals.

Desert Christian's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 7-9. As for San Miguel, they are on a 28-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-14.

Desert Christian will face off against St. David at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for San Miguel, they will host Tombstone at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
