Softball Recap: Crismon Picks Up 11th Straight Win at Home

Crismon's tournament run continued when they took on Tanque Verde on Friday. Crismon came out on top against Tanque Verde by a score of 4-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rattlers.

Crismon got a great performance from Emma Phelps as she tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Skylar DaCosta, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Alee Grace Trunell, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in both of her plate appearances.

Crismon was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Crismon's win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.1 runs over those games. As for Tanque Verde, they moved to 10-3 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Crismon has already played their next game, a 5-3 loss against Sahuarita on the 22nd. As for Tanque Verde, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 6-3 defeat against Joseph City on the 21st.
