Soccer Game Preview: Catalina vs. Gilbert Christian

The Catalina Trojans will head out to take on the Gilbert Christian Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Catalina sitting on seven straight victories and Gilbert Christian on 11.

On Saturday, Catalina made easy work of Thatcher and carried off a 4-1 win. Considering the Trojans have won eight games by more than two goals this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, while the 3-3 score might suggest a draw, it was Gilbert Christian who was credited with the victory on Saturday. Gilbert Christian got it done in the shootout by posting six goals to Palo Verde's five.

Gilbert Christian's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 50 goals over those eight contests. As for Catalina, their victory bumped their record up to 13-3.
