Portsmouth Christian Academy has gone a perfect 5-0 against Franklin recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Tornadoes at 4:00 p.m. Franklin took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Portsmouth Christian Academy, who comes in off a win.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Portsmouth Christian Academy and Newmarket, and Portsmouth Christian Academy kept the tradition alive. The Eagles walked away with a 5-1 win over the Mules on Monday.

Cai Summers made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). Summers was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Franklin didn't have quite enough to beat Concord Christian on Monday and fell 4-2. The Tornadoes haven't had much luck with the Kingsmen recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Portsmouth Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Franklin, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Portsmouth Christian Academy took their win against Franklin when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 19-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
