Softball Game Preview: Diamond Ranch Panthers vs. Montclair Cavaliers

For the second straight game, Diamond Ranch will face off against Montclair. The Panthers will be playing at home against the Cavaliers at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Diamond Ranch's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Montclair has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

Diamond Ranch came out on top against Montclair on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run second inning. The Panthers blew past the Cavaliers 11-5. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won ten matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Izel Avalos made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with three runs and one stolen base.
