Randolph dropped their record down to 5-7 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Forestville Central Hornets, falling 9-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-4 two weeks ago.

Isabella Syracuse made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

As for Forestville Central, the win keeps they at an undefeated 8-0. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average this season.

On Forestville Central's side, Megan Gruber was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching seven innings while giving up three earned runs off nine hits. Gruber has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Emily Lilllie was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Carilene Sliwa, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Randolph is set to face off against their familiar foe Pine Valley Central at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Forestville Central will take on rival Silver Creek at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Hornets 3.5, the Black Knights 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
