Seminole is a perfect 5-0 against Gibbs since September of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. Seminole is coming into the match hot, having won their last five games.
Seminole is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They skirted past Dunedin 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Warhawks have posted since August 23rd.
Seminole was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 25-21, 24-26, 19-25, 25-11, 15-11.

Kylee Killalea had another great game (as she tends to do), getting 16 kills, ten digs, and four aces. That's the most kills she has posted since back in September of 2024. Another player making a difference was Angelina Capellan, who had three digs and three aces.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Gibbs' good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to Lemon Bay. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Gladiators have suffered since September 16th.
The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-11, 25-6.
Despite the loss, Gibbs saw an underclassman step up: freshman Jade Carter had 31 digs. Carter is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last six games she's played.
Gibbs' defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Seminole, their victory bumped their record up to 15-9.
Seminole took their win against Gibbs in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Warhawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Gladiators turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
