Soccer Game Preview: Strake Jesuit vs. Fulshear

The Strake Jesuit Fighting Crusaders are taking a road trip to square off against the Fulshear Chargers at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Strake Jesuit comes in on six and Fulshear on three.

Strake Jesuit is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Texas' top teams: Alief Elsik, who was ranked second at the time (Strake Jesuit was ranked 22nd). Strake Jesuit narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Alief Elsik 2-1.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Friday Fulshear sidestepped Foster for a 4-3 victory.

Strake Jesuit's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those five contests. As for Fulshear, their victory bumped their record up to 12-3.

Everything went Strake Jesuit's way against Fulshear in their previous meeting back in January, as Strake Jesuit made off with a 4-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Strake Jesuit since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
