Volleyball Game Preview: Carroll Chargers vs. Leo Lions

The Carroll Chargers will take on the Leo Lions at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Carroll sitting on seven straight wins and Leo on three.

Carroll barely beat East Noble the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Chargers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Knights on Thursday.

While Carroll might've won, it sure wasn't easy: East Noble scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-20, 25-23.

Dominic Bennett and Declan McCumber were among the main playmakers for Carroll as the former had 15 assists and five digs and the latter had seven digs and two aces. That's the most aces McCumber has posted over his last two games.

Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Leo walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Barons with a sharp 3-0 victory on Tuesday.

Carroll's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-7. As for Leo, their victory bumped their record up to 17-5.

Carroll was able to grind out a solid win over Leo in their previous matchup back in March, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Chargers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
