Soccer Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Richmond

Richmond won the last time they faced Union City and things went their way on Saturday too. The Red Devils were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Indians. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 5-0.

Richmond's offense was hitting Union City from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Ben Holliday led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

The victory (which was Richmond's third in a row) raised their record to 3-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those three matchups. As for Union City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Coming up, Richmond will welcome Rushville at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Richmond will be up against Rushville's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.67 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Union City, they will head out to square off against Wapahani at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday.
