Football Game Preview: Paul VI Eagles vs. Haddonfield Bulldawgs

The Paul VI Eagles are taking a road trip to challenge the Haddonfield Bulldawgs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Paul VI's defense has only allowed 15 points per game this season, so Haddonfield's offense will have their work cut out for them.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Paul VI challenged Seneca on Friday. The Eagles took a 27-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Golden Eagles.

Meanwhile, Haddonfield got the win against Gloucester City on Thursday by a conclusive 38-16. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 31-0.

Paul VI better keep an eye on Brody Leonard. He was instrumental in Haddonfield's win, rushing for 144 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 15 carries, while also picking up 49 receiving yards. That's the most receiving yards Leonard has posted since back in September of 2024.

The win made it two in a row for Haddonfield and bumps their season record up to 5-2. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 33.5 points over those games. As for Paul VI, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Paul VI didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Haddonfield in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, but they still walked away with a 19-13 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
