Volleyball Recap: Herricks Comes Up Short

Herricks and Port Washington squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Herricks had to settle for second. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vikings. The Highlanders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Vikings earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

While Herricks ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 21-25, 25-17, 25-22.

Herricks now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Port Washington, the victory snapped their losing streak at three matches and leaves them with a 10-5 record.

As of now, neither Herricks nor the Vikings have any future games scheduled.
