Basketball Recap: Loudon Comes Up Short

Loudon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Red Bank Lions and fell 80-52. While losing is never fun, the Redskins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 222nd, while the Lions are ranked 108th).

Kobey Jones went supernova for Red Bank, going 11-for-15 en route to 26 points and seven boards. The dominant performance gave Jones a new career-high in points. DJ Wilbur was another key player, almost dropping a triple-double with 13 points, nine rebounds, and ten assists.

Loudon's loss dropped their record down to 14-13. As for Red Bank, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That lines up perfectly with their 24-8 record this season.

Loudon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Red Bank, they will take on Heritage at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
