Basketball Recap: Mercedes Takes a Loss

Mercedes was the 42-35 winner over Pace when they last played one another back in November of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Mercedes Tigers took a 52-35 bruising from the Pace Vikings on Friday.

Mercedes' defeat was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Pace, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-9 record this season.

Mercedes has already played their next contest, a 48-38 victory against Donna on the 7th. As for Pace, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 49-23 loss against Weslaco East on the 7th.
