Basketball Game Preview: Braymer Bobcats vs. Norborne Pirates

The Braymer Bobcats will head out on the road to challenge the Norborne Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Braymer has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 4.

It was a proper cat-fight when Braymer challenged Plattsburg on Wednesday. Braymer fell 48-36 to Plattsburg.

Norborne hasn't had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They walked away with a 47-39 win over Madison on Monday.

Braymer better keep an eye on Avi Leabo. She was instrumental in Norborne's win, putting up 24 points. The matchup was Leabo's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carleigh Ellis, who posted ten points.

Braymer's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Norborne, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-9 record this season.

Everything came up roses for Braymer against Norborne in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as the squad secured a 48-12 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Braymer since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
