Recap: Baboquivari Warriors vs. Patagonia Lobos
After a string of four wins, the Baboquivari Warriors's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of Patagonia by a score of 43-41. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat Baboquivari has suffered yet this season.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lamyra Juan, who scored nine points along with five assists and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kara Baptisto, who scored 15 points along with six assists and five steals.
Baboquivari's loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Patagonia, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season.
Baboquivari will head out on the road to take on St. David at 9:00 a.m. on Monday. St. David is on a ten-game streak of home wins, Baboquivari a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. Patagonia will take on Valley Union at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Valley Union and Patagonia are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
