Basketball Recap: Jacob Butler's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Lincoln over Twelve Bridges

Lincoln lost against Twelve Bridges back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Lincoln Fighting Zebras fell to the Twelve Bridges Raging Rhinos 57-51. The Fighting Zebras have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Fighting Zebras players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jacob Butler, who posted eight points along with seven blocks and five rebounds. Butler has been hot for a while, having posted two or more blocks the last 23 times he's played. Triton Cox was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Lincoln's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Twelve Bridges, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Lincoln wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 69-36 loss against Del Oro on the 12th. As for Twelve Bridges, they will look to defend their home court on December 17th against Center at 7:00 p.m. Twelve Bridges knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matches -- so hopefully Center likes a good challenge.
