Volleyball Recap: Dublin Scioto Has No Trouble Against Westland

Dublin Scioto had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Westland on Thursday. The Irish put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 3-0 win. The Irish haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

The final score came out to 25-9, 25-13, 25-17.

Among those leading the charge was Lyla Magnussen, who had seven digs and three aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last seven matches. Emily D'Eramo also deserves some recognition as she had her first kills of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Dublin Scioto was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Westland only served one.

Dublin Scioto's win bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Westland, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-10.
