Volleyball Recap: Adrienne Rodriguez and Gianna Dominguez Secure Win for Chapin

Chapin hadn't done well against El Paso recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Huskies walked away with a 2-0 win over the Tigers. The victory was familiar territory for the Huskies, who have now won three matches in a row.

Chapin never let El Paso on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-21.

Leading Chapin to victory were Gianna Dominguez and Adrienne Rodriguez. Dominguez had nine digs and two aces, while Rodriguez had 12 assists. The dominant performance also gave Dominguez a new career-high in assists (four).

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 10-2. As for El Paso, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Looking ahead, Chapin will be taking part in a tournament against Montwood at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for El Paso, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Immanuel Christian at 6:30 p.m.
