Volleyball Recap: Saranac Spartans vs. Peru Nighthawks

Saranac was the 3-2 winner over Peru when they last played one another on October 3rd, but their luck changed this time around. The Saranac Spartans fell 3-1 to the Peru Nighthawks on Wednesday.

While Saranac ultimately came up short, they really made Peru work, particularly in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-20, 21-25, 25-9.

Peru found their leader in sophomore Alysa Darrah, who had 29 digs, two aces, and a kill. Those 29 digs set a new season-high mark for Darrah.

Saranac's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Peru, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-7.

As of now, neither Saranac nor Peru have any future games scheduled.
