Columbine piles up the points against Lakewood

Recap: Columbine Rebels vs. Lakewood Tigers

The Columbine Rebels scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They breezed by Lakewood at home to the tune of 93-42. That looming 93-42 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Columbine yet this season.

Despite the loss, Lakewood still got an impressive performance from Dyani Parrish, who scored 13 points along with six assists and five steals. Aaliyah Perea was another key contributor, scoring two points along with five rebounds and three blocks.

Columbine is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Lakewood, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.

Columbine will head out on the road to challenge Valor Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Valor Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Friday. As for Lakewood, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Ralston Valley at 7:00 p.m. Ralston Valley presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Lakewood in Colorado (Ralston Valley is ranked 40th, while Lakewood is ranked 203rd).
