Basketball Game Preview: New Life Academy Bobcats vs. Ahoskie Christian

New Life Academy hasn't had much luck against Ahoskie Christian recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The New Life Academy Bobcats will challenge Ahoskie Christian at 5:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

New Life Academy is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 20th straight game dating back to last season on Tuesday. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 39-33 heartbreaker at the hands of Bethel Christian.

Meanwhile, Ahoskie Christian suffered their biggest defeat since November 22, 2024 on Thursday. They came up short against Terra Ceia Christian, falling 48-26.

Despite the loss, Ahoskie Christian saw an underclassman step up: freshman Mara Dae White posted 14 points and three steals.

New Life Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Ahoskie Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 9-13.

New Life Academy was taken down by Ahoskie Christian 67-34 in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point New Life Academy was down 36-14.
