Basketball Recap: Dryden Takes a Loss

Fans were treated to a Battle of the Cardinals on Friday. Dryden had to suffer through a 71-32 loss at the hands of Kingston. While losing is never fun, Dryden can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 376th, while Kingston is ranked 101st).

Dryden dropped their record down to 10-7 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Kingston, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 13-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dryden will host Deckerville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Deckerville will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Dryden surely won't give up without a fight. As for Kingston, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Caro at 6:00 p.m. Kingston's defense has only allowed 28.3 points per game this season, so Caro's offense will have their work cut out for them.
