Mineral Point is 8-2 against Fennimore since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Mineral Point Pointers will take on the Fennimore Golden Eagles at 7:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Mineral Point has 14 straight victories, Fennimore has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Saturday, Mineral Point didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Dominican, but they still walked away with a 66-60 win. Given the Pointers' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 14th, while the Knights are ranked 76th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Fennimore was just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 46-45 to Dodgeville.

Mineral Point pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.7 points per game. As for Fennimore, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Everything came up roses for Mineral Point against Fennimore in their previous matchup back in February, as the squad secured a 73-24 win. Will Mineral Point repeat their success, or does Fennimore have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
