Volleyball Recap: Redmond's Run of Four Straight Wins Now Over

Redmond was the 3-0 winner over Liberty when they last played one another back in October of 2017, but their luck changed this time around. The Mustangs came up short against the Patriots on Tuesday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Mustangs have suffered since November 12, 2024.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Liberty scored at least 17 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-20, 25-17.

Among those leading the charge was Ananya Sooraj, who had seven digs and one assist.

Redmond moved to 9-3 with that defeat, which also ended their four-match winning streak. As for Liberty, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 11-1.

Redmond has already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Inglemoor on the 16th. As for Liberty, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against Skyline on the 16th.
