Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' Iowa football rankings (they are ranked 105th, while the Panthers are ranked 243rd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Interstate 35 came tearing into Friday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.3 points), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Wildcats get on the board and left with a 24-0 win. The Roadrunners might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by 24 points or more this season.

West Marshall's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Interstate 35, their win bumped their record up to an identical 4-2.
