Basketball Recap: Marshall County Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Keriona Thomison and Mashawna Ridley

Marshall County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 33-22 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tullahoma Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 200th, while the Wildcats are ranked 78th).

Despite the loss, Marshall County had strong showings from Mashawna Ridley, who posted seven points, and Keriona Thomison, who had six points and seven rebounds.

Among those leading the charge was Mclayne Bobo, who put up seven points.

Marshall County now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Tullahoma, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season.

Marshall County has already played their next contest, a 46-29 defeat against Giles County on the 4th. As for Tullahoma, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 38-34 win against Central Magnet on the 4th.
