Baseball Recap: Palmyra Comes Up Short

Palmyra lost against Southern Boone on Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Palmyra came up short against Southern Boone, falling 15-7.

Rylan Compton and Logan Kroeger did some serious damage despite the final result: Compton scored two runs while going 3-for-4, while Kroeger went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryant Horstmeier, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Palmyra's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. Southern Boone has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Palmyra will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Fulton at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Southern Boone, they will take on Eldon at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
